It feels like forever since I’ve posted, but I didn’t die or anything! I’ve been hard at work on my next crime novel. For those of you who were concerned, Betsy’s toe is now fine. She did, however, crush her finger in the front window when the springs broke and sent it crashing down. Maybe someday, she’ll be totally healthy!

Betsy’s Toe
I can’t believe this has happened! My partner Betsy was playing with Giles the cat with a piece of yarn. When she drew the yarn across her foot, Giles went to grab it with his mouth and got her toe instead! (His eyesight is really going downhill, if you couldn’t tell.)

Danny Montaigne, Hockey God
I’m so proud of Danny! He decided he wanted to play hockey this year, even before baseball season ended. We signed him up for a beginner’s league up at Center Ice, and he found out today, he will be the starting goalie for the Penguins! He’s not so sure about getting up so early on Saturday mornings, but at least the coach rotates the practice times so each age group gets stuck equally with the 7 am slot.
