Some of you may already know me.  I am the star of the Molly Logan mystery books, written by Beth Philley.  Like Beth, I am a mystery writer, only I write true crime novels.  I also have a talent for finding mysteries wherever I go.

My personal history:  I live in an old Victorian house in the Ridgewood section of Canton, Ohio with my partner Betsy, my son Danny, and my fat black cat Giles.  I was married for about a minute to my high school sweetheart, but he was too manly for my tastes.  In case you haven’t guessed, I’m gay.  Who’da thunk a marriage wouldn’t work under those circumstances???  So, I played the field for awhile, then met my first long-term partner, Lexie, on an Olivia singles cruise.

We were together for about six years, during which time Lexie adopted Danny.  I didn’t think that would be a problem, because we both raised him like he was our own.  But, when she moved out and took Danny back to California, I found out I had no legal claim to him.  I would never have gotten him back, except that she became suicidal and couldn’t take care of him while she was trying to get better.

So, now Danny lives with me and my true soul-mate, Betsy, who I met (coincidentally) on another cruise.  Betsy moved in with me soon after we returned from the Caribbean, where we were involved in solving the wild disappearance of a newlywed named Cooper Quinn.  (If you want to know the rest of the story, click here to buy Caribbean Destiny.)

Betsy works for the Canton Police Department, which is great because I can use her to get ideas for my true crime novels.  I take unsolved crimes and write about what I think might have happened.  Having a wife on the force gives me a never-ending source of new material, which I appreciate.  It also gives her access to information that can be helpful in solving the mysteries I happen to find myself getting involved in, like the current one Beth is writing about me.

In Missing in Action, my best friend from high school can’t find her brother when it’s time for their mom’s funeral to start, so she (Lauren) asks me to look into it.  I’ll let you know when the book gets published

In the meantime, tune in here.  I’ll try to post at least 4 or 5 times a week, letting you know what’s going on in my life.

Until next time,

Bye-bye and buy books!
